Companies welcome the proposed European regulation on the transparency and integrity of ESG ratings, given the importance of these ratings in supporting their transition. They would like the text to be more ambitious, particularly with regard to transparency obligations on methodologies, the handling of controversies and the use of AI, and they would like rated entities to be guaranteed a right of reply.
