French companies have been committed for many years to contribute to the eradication of forced labour and welcome the proposed Regulation in this direction.
They believe however that the proposal should better take into account companies’ operational realities and ensure consistent implementation across the EU. Among other things, they argue for a graduated and proportionate response articulated with the proposed Directive on Due Diligence (CS3D), before banning or removing products from the market
