In the context of the current debates in the European Parliament and the Council of the EU on the Digital Services Act, AFEP publishes its position and amendment proposals to the Commission’s text.

Following the publication by the European Commission of its draft delegated act on Article 8 of the Taxonomy Regulation, AFEP publishes its position on the indicators that companies will have to publish in the application of said article and the future delegated act.

In view of the forthcoming legislative proposal of the European Commission on Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), within the "Fit for 55" Package, AFEP is advocating for the EU to take concrete measures to fight against carbon leakage and related competitiveness gaps at the expense of EU-based industries.

AFEP recently contributed to the public consultation from the European Commission on the Review of the Communication on important projects of common European interest (IPCEI).

AFEP member companies have been engaged for many years in putting CSR at the heart of their strategies and operations. Based on this experience, they have submitted their proposals on sustainable governance and due diligence to the EU Commission in the context of its public consultation.

With the new climate objectives, the European Commission intends to revise the EU-ETS. AFEP supports the EU-ETS, and shares its proposals to maintain the competitiveness of companies in a context of increased risks of carbon leakage associated with higher climate ambition.
